LET THE STREET SPEAK
Michel Groleau photographer
Framing life through the lens of his camera, Michel Groleau attempts to capture the beauty of everyday life. Through his photographs and unique perspectives, he tries to document the sincere moments in life that others don't always notice.

REFLECTIONS
I've always had a particular fondness for street photography. This type of photography, better than any other, allows you to capture a fleeting moment of human life and immortalize a unique instant, freezing a snapshot that will likely never return. The stories the street tells us are rarely mundane. If you take the time to look closely, they are often touching, intriguing, fascinating, or instructive.
The street forces us to reflect. It compels us to think, to examine who we are, to question who we are becoming. It invites us to examine our attitudes.

SHOWCASING THE COLORS OF OUR STREETS
Our streets are bursting with colors that brighten our lives. Although I'm already aware of their omnipresence, I often find myself appreciating them more in retrospect, looking at photos, than when I'm actually walking through the neighborhood. It's almost as if the light, shadows, and colors only truly reveal themselves after being captured by a camera. For some photos, however, color adds nothing. Black and white then allows you to focus on the subject and its surroundings. The light and lines then take center stage, highlighting the subject.

MYSTERIOUS ZANZIBAR

Elsewhere Magazine
I arrived in Zanzibar early in the morning by sea. I imagined a world on the edge of the Arabian Nights and of Africa. I was not deceived. I chose to present Zanzibar to you with few words but with a lot of images. I invite you to discover it with me in this magazine in black and white because it allows better to express the timeless, to be able to imagine the places as they were centuries earlier.
LET THE STREET TALK

Street photography
You can consult this book, published on Blurb and available online, here. In this work, Michel Groleau attempts to demonstrate that the street possesses a life of its own, a dynamism all its own. He explores this perspective in this collection and reveals numerous images he sketched on the spot during his urban explorations.
THE DECLINE OF THE SIXTH CONTINENT

The white surface of the Antarctic ice sheet has protected Earth for millions of years, cooling our planet by reflecting most of the sun's energy back into space, acting as a protective shield. Due to climate change, Antarctica is the fastest-rising region in the world: a vicious cycle has begun. Inexorable global warming is likely to follow. The author hopes that showcasing the beauty of this place will help raise public awareness and inspire people to participate in the preservation of Antarctica.
